Iranian education system is divided into two main levels: elementary and secondary, the former is compulsory.

In addition to the college entrance examination, there is one more national examination at the end of the elementary school year. The subjects included are Math, Science, Iranian Literature, Social Science and Theology. To the parents, this is the most important exam because of the belief that getting into a “good” school is the key to their children future.

Other subjects are Arts, Sports, Technology, Thinking and Studying and the most important is Koran.

While parents around the world are worrying about their children having too much homework pressure, Iranian education encourages students to do more homework to practice what they have learned.

In the period of collage entrance examination, parents in Iran tend to take days off and do nothing but preparing for their children to the best.
