ITT – The latest data from the researchers showed that the US is chosen as the best by many parent for their international students studying abroad.
In a survey done with 6.241 parents in 15 countries, nearly half of those polled (48%) ranked the US as one of the three top destinations in 50 countries offering. When asked about the reasons for this choice, most parents (59%) say that the quality of education is better and 29% said that there are better employment opportunities, although the US is a country with the most expensive tuition, about 33.215 USD a year for international students.
Although not surveyed, Vietnam remains one of the countries with the most proportion of international students studying in USA. According to Student and Exchange Visitor Information – SEVIS, Vietnam ranked No. 6 (after China, India, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Canada) of the 10 countries with the highest number of international students in the US, with 29.101 students are studying at all levels of education and training programs.
However, Germany is the destination with more overall quality for international students. Considering the factors, Germany is the highest ranked country, followed by Singapore, Canada and Japan; USA ranked No. 5 only. Germany achieved higher scores thanks to tuition exemption policy and affordable living standard. New graduate students in Germany can reach more job opportunities here as well as other European countries and around the world.
Survey shows 35% of parents in the world to consider their children to study abroad. Of these, the highest percentage belongs to Indonesian parents. However, to be able to study abroad is not just about knowledge, but also about the financial support and other problems. Therefore, parents should take into consideration carefully all issues then decide where for your child to study.
