5 full master’s scholarships for Vietnamese students

ITT – Erasmus Mundus, Chevening, Fulbright, AAS or MEXT are prestigious full master’s scholarships with high level of support, which are highly sought after by young Vietnamese people.

The demand for graduate study abroad of Vietnamese youth is increasing day by day. In particular, prestigious scholarship programs from foreign governments are always the top priority of students. Here are 5 full master’s scholarships.

Erasmus Mundus European Scholarship

Erasmus Mundus is the most prestigious intergovernmental master’s scholarship in Europe. This scholarship program gives international students the opportunity to study and experience life in at least two countries for two years of study. With 120 programs on many training professions, the scholarship package is up to 50,000 Euro.

Programs under the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship usually open between early October and mid-November. British Government Scholarship – Chevening

Chevening is a British government scholarship to create opportunities for talented individual to study master’s programs at leading UK universities. After nearly 40 years of operation, the program has given opportunities to more than 50,000 learners around the world with an average of about 1,500 places per year. In Vietnam, each year, about 25-30 candidates receive scholarships.

This scholarship opens its application portal in August every year. The application review process consists of two rounds: application and interview. Usually, you will get the results around May-June next year.

American Government Scholarship – Fulbright

Referring to government scholarships, it is necessary to mention Fulbright of the United States. When applying for this scholarship, the candidate’s profile will be selected by the selection committee to find potential people for the interview round. If successful, the candidate will be confirmed with a sponsorship package. Then, team of experts help you find the right US college and this process usually lasts from October to March next year.

Fulbright full master’s scholarships open in early January each year and the application deadline falls in mid-April. To be eligible to apply, applicants need to have at least two years of work experience and have graduated from a university. Unlike Chevening, you don’t choose courses from the time of application but will work with Fulbright’s team of experts after being admitted to apply to US universities.

Australian Government Scholarship – AAS

Australia Awards Scholarships – AAS by the Australian Government is awarded to Vietnamese nationals to study master’s programs at Australian universities. The candidates are evaluated on the basis of professional qualifications, personal capacity, academic achievement… The scholarship is awarded by Vietnam – Australia Human Development Program on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Japanese Government Scholarship – MEXT

Monbukagakusho – MEXT or Japanese government scholarship is the most prestigious and valuable of all available scholarships to study in Japan. This scholarship program is offered annually by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to outstanding overseas students who wish to study undergraduate in Japan.

MEXT Scholarship is open to all applicants from countries in Asia-Pacific, North America, Latin America & Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, Africa, having diplomatic relations with Japan. All Japanese universities are participating in the MEXT scholarship. The application period lasts from April to June each year.
