Top 10 South Korean universities

ITT – According to charts of QS in 2016-2017, here are Top 10 South Korean universities

1. Seoul National University (SNU): The first and standard University in South Korea. The school ranks 35th in the world according to the QS rankings. SNU currently contains 16 colleges, 6 specialized universities and 65 research institutes.
2. Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST): The first University of South Korea specialized in education and science and technology research. Owning the ranked 46 in the world, KAIST has nearly 10,000 students with nearly 1,500 local and international teachers.
3. The University of Science and Technology Pohang: At position 86th on the world ranking, the school has over 300 students and 800 teachers, including over 100 international ones. The school provides students with a learning environment for the best research equipment, with the participation of professors and scholars.
4. University of South Korea (Korean University): Highly appraised in Law, Medicine, Engineer and Business Administration, Korea University ranks 98th in the world. The school is currently owning and maintaining the Hospital University of South Korea. The school has a large number of students is 26,000 including more than 3,000 international students.
5. Sungkyunkwan University: With many high quality research centers, the rank of the school is increasing rapidly. Currently the school is holding rank 106th around the world.
6. Yonsei University: The university is always a leader in the professional study program in the country. The number of students is approximately 30,000, amongst which the number of international students is over 3,000. The school always tries to become a global specialist for organizations and individuals.
7. Hanyang University: Being famous for a high quality learning environment and research with the support of modern infrastructure, this university is on Top 10 South Korean universities. The university has various departments and scholarships to encourage international students applying to the school. The school has an amount of 24,000 students and about 4,000 teacher.
8. Kyung Hee University: A school of education programs from kindergarten to postgraduate and ranks 264th on the whole world. At Kyung Hee, there are a huge number of students which is 26,000, while the international students account for 13.5% of the total (about 3,500).

9. Ewha University: The biggest university for woman in the world with the rank of 335 in the whole world. Many female Prime Minister and Minister were graduated from Ewha. Ewha has many links to other universities across the world.
10. Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology: Last position among Top 10 South Korean universities and ranks 337 in the world, the university has breakthroughs in the field of training the leading professions in science and technology. However, the number of students is much more modest than those in Top 10, only about 2,000 students.
