ITT – Vietnam education recently has changed drastically in a positive way with many decisions: cut down on tests, periodic tests and stop grading students and giving comments instead. However good that is, Vietnam education still have so much to learn from other more advanced education system.
- Finland
- Fair and free: Finland education puts equality above almost everything, there is no discrimination between the rich and the poor, urban or rural, they all benefit from an equal education.
- No exam pressure: In Finland, there are no placement test, this makes schools a friendly environment.
- Japan
- Moral is the core: Japan’s got its advanced education system by making morality the most important quality of a human being and give students an independent orientation and discipline.
- Independent thinking: Japan education also equip students with self-independence in order for them to be able to catch up with the open world of cultures and knowledge. Encouraging student to stand on different perspectives to think about a problem is one of the reasons why Japan occupies the largest proportion of licenses of invention with everlasting worldwide brands.
- American
American education tends to orient students towards freedom, so they can adapt with the ever-changing life. If a child is forced to do something, it will limit their creativity. The curriculum of schools in the US are rich in terms of experience, discovery, encourage them to give their opinions around one problem. There, teachers can give comments about their students and the other way around.
- Germany
- Equality: In German classes, there is no monitor, vice monitor, group leaders… but there is a “speaker” who transfers messages from teachers to students and reverse, this shows the equality between students.
- Focus on practical experience: Germany education has built a nationwide education and training program. This is a joined effort of the government and businesses, associates to supply the work force needed.
- French
In France, when the students get to high school, they have already known what they would do after graduation. They have three kinds of graduation degrees with different applications. First one to mention is BAC General. This degree is for students with high grades and really want to follow up with higher education. Then, they can choose to follow different path: science (BAC Science), economic social (BAC Economic Social) or literature (BAC Literature). That’s why French education became one of the most advanced education system
