ITT – University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center (McGovern) charges $32,997 a year in tuition for foreign students, nearly three times worse than the highest school, one of the cheapest medical colleges in the US.
The cost of health training in the US is very large, especially for foreign candidates. According to a survey by US News and World Report, for the 2020-2021 school year, the average tuition fee of students at medical schools is $60,504, $20,000 higher than other public schools.
The reason that public medical schools often receive subsidies from state taxes should charge lower tuition fees for students in the state and higher for foreigners, including international students.
The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) says that at many public medical schools, three-quarters of the students entering 2020 are non-state residents. This phenomenon shows the competition in enrollment of health schools.
