ITT – Ministry of Education said that Singapore increases tuition fees for international students at public schools from 2022, after remaining unchanged in 2021.
Specifically, in the period of 2022 – 2023, Singapore increases tuition fees for international students from 25 to 150 SGD per month, depending on the level of study. These changes will begin in January of each year.
For primary school students from Vietnam and ASEAN countries studying in Singapore, the tuition fee will increase from SGD 465/month at the present time to SGD 490/month next year and SGD 515/month in 2023. For students from non-ASEAN countries, the tuition fee will increase from SGD 775/month to SGD 825/month next year and SGD 875/month in 2023.
For high school students from ASEAN countries, the tuition fee will increase from SGD 780/month at the present time to SGD 840/month in 2022 and SGD 900/month in 2023. If coming from non-ASEAN countries, tuition fees will increase from SGD 1,450/month to SGD 1,600/month next year and SGD 1,750/month in 2023.
For pre-university level, foreign students from ASEAN countries will have to pay 1,070 SGD/month in 2022 instead of 1,040 SGD/month as at present and will increase to 1,100 SGD/month in 2023. Non-ASEAN international students currently paying SGD 1,800/month will pay SGD 1,950/month next year and SGD 2,100/month in 2023.
Singapore increases tuition fees for international students steadily in the period 2018-2020 with an increase of 25-150 SGD/month depending on the level of study.
Particularly for Singaporean students, Ministry of Education said tuition and fees remained unchanged. Specifically, primary school students do not have to pay monthly tuition, high school students pay 5 SGD/month and students enrolled in pre-university courses pay 6 SGD/month.
Other fees are set at 6.5 SGD/month for primary school, 10 SGD/month for high school and 13.5 SGD/month for pre-university level.
