ITT – Princeton University continues to top the top 10 best universities in the US in 2022, while Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology broke out in second place.
According to the announcement of US News and World Report on September 13, top 10 best universities in the US in 2022 are all familiar names, specifically as follows:

Princeton University in New Jersey continues to hold the top spot. This year, the school charged more than 56,000 USD (nearly 1.3 billion VND) with more than 4,700 students enrolled.
In second place are Columbia University, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). While Harvard stayed the same, Columbia and MIT improved from last year’s 3rd and 4th place respectively. Columbia University collected the most tuition this year with more than 63,500 USD.
Yale University from 4th (2021) to 5th (2022). This year, the school recruited more than 4,700 students, collecting tuition fees of nearly $60,000.
Stanford and Chicago are still ranked 6th, equal to last year, and Pennsylvania 8th. In the fall of 2020, nearly 10,000 students entered Pennsylvania, the most of any school participating in the ranking.
In 2022, four universities tied for 9th place: California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Duke, John Hopkins, Northwestern. Duke University is the only school from the top 12 last year to enter the top 10 this year, the rest of the schools keep their rankings. A special feature is that only 901 students entered Caltech in the fall of 2020, only 1/10 of the University of Pennsylvania.
In the ranking, 5 out of 8 Ivy League schools participate, including Princeton (1st), Columbia (2), Harvard (2), Yale (5), Pennsylvania (8). The other three are Dartmouth College, 13th, Brown University (14th) and Cornell University (17th).
US News and World Report ranks top 10 best universities in the US in 2022 based on the following factors: graduation and employment rate (accounting for 22% of the total score), social mobility (5%), efficiency graduation rate (8%), bachelor’s academic reputation (20%), annual resources (20%), student quality (7%), student finance (10%) , alumni contribution rate (3%), graduate debt (5%).
