Dr. Nguyen Quang Viet – Director of the Institute of Vocational Education Science – said that according to the latest survey results, there are differences between the demand for recruiting workers through key occupations.
The question of which jobs are recruited in 2021 depends on the reality of enterprises that the demand for new recruits at each training level will be different. Some industries are in need of cutting new recruits such as accounting, construction engineering, wastewater treatment at intermediate level and accounting, silviculture, and IT at the college level.
According to research in 2018, the profession with the most trainees at the elementary level is industrial electricity, with about 4,120 people enrolled. Automotive technology ranked second with 3,380 students. With an intermediate level, industrial electrical profession leads with 25,500 students, followed by automotive technology with 16,400 people.
At the college level, the most popular industrial electric profession is 28,100 people. Automotive technology (21,500 people), accounting (10,800 people) and metal cutting (6,000 people) are behind. Computer network management, nursing, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, midwifery, electrical engineering have a large training scale but the demand is not high.
From the above data, the institute found that some key job names did not accurately reflect job positions in enterprises. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly review and update the list of vocational training. Criteria to define key training occupations must be clarified, especially key occupations at ASEAN and international level.
