ITT – Mathematics is a challenge subject that parents usually have to send their children to academic centers. However, with a lot of appearing educational and tutoring centers, indications of good IB Math center is a necessary thing that parents should consider.
Among natural science subjects, Mathematics is mentioned as a crucial one that provides basic knowledge for students in order to engage in other subjects because of mutual relation such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sciences, Economics… Therefore, Mathematics is applied to curriculum from primary level.
IB Math is a useful technique for students to approach new knowledge of modern education. However, dissimilarity with normal conversation, learning academic vocabularies, reading for understanding and solving science problems by English sometimes cause difficulties for students. The point is that students have to spend a lot of time to study this subject. Even though it is unnecessary to memorize too many things, students have to embed concepts, theorems, basic nature of calculation.
The affair that students are not fond of Mathematics is easy to understand and common. Nowadays, with integrated curriculum, if Math is not their advantage, they would get more challenge when it is taught by English. Therefore, parents have to find IB Math center teaching Math for their children. However, they should consider carefully to choose centers that have teaching methods from the low to high level. It is because that students usually understand thoroughly what their teaching say, but when they always get trouble whenever engaging in specific practice. If an IB Math center which always forces students to study quickly is not a reputable.
Moreover, these centers have to teaching subject in English, possess staff of teachers having sufficient qualification, experience, pedagogic skills, and the most important thing – English academic vocabularies – so that they can meet the expectation of parents and create bases for students to learn advanced programs. If not, students will never strengthen their knowledge.
