In that, A-level is believed to be one of the popular programs which help students develop the sense of initiative. So, how about situation of learning A-level in Vietnam?
A-level is a pre-university course in England for students from the age 16 – 18. This course lasts in 2 years that brings many benefits with students who want to study abroad. This program is as an passport to help learners enroll all of courses in any universities in over the world provided that you can meet all of entrance requirements. This course is specialized in natural sciences subjects, social sciences, human sciences, artistry, industry, entertainment and tourism. Students can take part in extracurricular activities and choose elective subjects depending on their favorite.
A-level is for both international and native students who must have good English proficiency. This course narrows students who are going to study abroad. Besides, tuition is more expensive than the income of Vietnamese. Therefore, learning A-level in Vietnam is not popular.
However, nowadays, education has been increasingly developed, international collaboration has been increasing, parents have awared of investment for their children at low education levels to help them study well and effectively in international environment. Many parents choose A-level centers offering A-level tutor service at home. Moreover, orientation and teaching method of Vietnamese program and international is totally different, students may face many difficulties to adapt if they are not well-prepared. Therefore, learning an A-level course is necessary.
