About SSAT
SSAT is a standardization test for students from grade 3 to 11. The candidates will have to take part in Mathematics (in English), vocabulary test, reading and writing an essay. To achieve best results, students have to research how to self-study SSAT to build yourself a preparation plan. There are three examinations for different study levels:
- Elementary: grade 3 – 4, duration: 1 hour 50 minutes (including break time).
- Middle: grade 5 – 7, duration: 3 hours 5 minutes (including 15 minutes break).
- Upper: grade 8 – 11, duration: 3 hours 5 minutes (including 15 minutes break).
How to study SSAT effectively?
Firstly, you should get to know all information about this examination including test structure and content to make a detailed plan. The preparation should be in three to six weeks before the exam depending the learning ability and time you have. It is essential to keep reviewing the lessons while you study. After that, learners should spend most of the time doing as many tests as possible to get used to it. A lot of students lose scores because they cannot manage to finish the exam in time. Doing practice tests help you gain useful experience in studying SSAT and know how to self-study SSAT. Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, you will be able to find strategies to optimize the result.
