IB books for references

IB books for references

ITT – In order to prepare well for studying IB, apart from class time, students also have to improve their knowledge at home. Choosing IB books for references is essential.

IB qualifications are accepted by most universities in 140 countries. Attending this program, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to develop themselves in critical thinking, independent, creativity and help students success in college. This is exactly what universities look for in a student.

Courses in this program are divided into two levels: SL (Standard Level) and HL (Higher Level), which differ in terms of scope of study but are evaluated on the same scale. An SL course lasts 150 hours while HL asks students to attend 240 hours. Each student must study at least 3 subjects (but no more than 4 subjects) at HL and other subjects at SL.

Students can choose subjects at SL or HL depending on their ability and orientation. HL courses tend to be more research oriented, harder but closer to university programs.

When students complete the course and earn the IB with a high score, they will be exempted from credits when entering undergraduate program. Yale, Harvard, McGill, University of Melbourne… are exempting credit for students if they meet IB requirements. In addition to the mainstream curriculum, students should also select some IB books to support their research at home.

Some IB curricula such as IB Diploma Program, IB Study Guides and IB Skills and Practice for most of the popular IB courses published by Oxford University are also a good series of books.

Furthermore, IB curriculum from other prestigious educational organization, such as Cambridge, Pearson Education, The Princeton Review, Barron’s… are also highly rated options on famous Amazon book site.
