Self-learning GMAT experience

ITT – GMAT is a computer-based standardized test to assess test takers’ skills for use in admission to graduate schools in management. If you want to have good result in you GMAT test, it is a good idea to equip yourself with self-learning GMAT experience in the very beginning.

There’s a saying that knowledge is the treasure of mankind. It probably is the reason why parents pay special attention to their children’s education. Nowadays, studying abroad is getting more and more popular like an inevitable path in this integrated world. GMAT is like a ticket for you to pursuit the higher education train, to become Masters or Doctors of management. Tips and tricks are available on the internet but you should get self-learning GMAT experience about the test format in order to plan your preparation better.

Normally, GMAT exam consists of four parts, including Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal and have the following format:

• Analytical Writing: Analyze a given topic in 30 minutes in order to assess analytical writing skills.
• Integrated Reasoning: Answer 12 questions relating multi-source theory, graphic analysis, statistics analysis in 30 minutes.
• Quantitative: You will have 75 minutes to find the answers for 37 problems, this will assess your Mathematic skills, quantitative reasoning and problem solving.
• Verbal: Test takers will read the given material, correct the errors of 41 questions in 75 minutes

One thing to remember is that even though the average score of GMAT is 560, top universities like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton (Penn) usually require a higher score around 720.

As you probably know now that such challenging test like the GMAT will take you a lot of time and effort. First, you should review what you have learned, once that is done, you should start solving the trial tests. Those are your weapons to confidently finish the test with the least problem. Why? Because through self-learning GMAT experience, you will cultivate the experience needed, you will know which part is more difficult than the others, your strengths and weaknesses, which can lead you to an effective strategy.
