How long it would take to prepare for ACT exam?

ITT – ACT (American College Testing) is standardized examination which staffs of admission of universities base on to evaluate and compare applications of candidates. ACT certificate is now popular when most of Eastern universities in USA start recognizing it. Therefore, a lot of students have a question that how long it would take to prepare for ACT exam.

ACT and SAT is two parallel examinations, which means that both of them have same objectives and most of students just only need to take two of these tests: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science Reasoning and Writing. For those who desire to study abroad, it is important and necessary to prepare for ACT exam. However, how long do they need to spend to do it?

Before finding out answer for this question, they need to get some advice for ACT preparation:

1. Practice partially: Achieving difficult parts would create basis to overcome easily ACT exam. Students need to establish their plans to review knowledge and theories of subjects of English, Science and Reading; enrich their vocabularies and read foreign articles to perceive writing method like ACT.
2. Reading books: If learners are not native speakers and did not have opportunities to learn subjects in English when they were young, they need to read a lot of books to get high scores in ACT examination. Some of good books they should refer are Barron’s ACT 6 Practice Tests, Cracking The ACT, Mc Graw-Hill’s ACT and other documents.
3. Managing time: Learners should time whenever they do practice test. If not, they cannot get expected scores like they have when practicing at home, and it is a big risk when taking any examinations.

In general, in order to perceive knowledge and skills sufficiently for this test and get high scores to obtain admission of desired universities, students need to practice at least 6 months.
