ITT – Nowadays, a lot of international programs are being taught in Vietnam to support overseas study. However, among a lot of diplomas such as A-level, AP, IGCSE, IB is usually the best “entrance ticket” to top universities in the world. IB tutor after school are demanded in months before the exam takes place.
Get to know about IB
The 2-year IB program allows students from 16 to 18 years old who have completed grade 10 or 11 or IGCSE program. For those who have never experienced international curriculum, IB will be quite different from what you have learned from national schools in Vietnam. The biggest difference is IB program focuses on knowledge range and skills.
The theories, definitions which is too academic will not be included in this international program. The syllabus was designed base on practice and specific skills through 6 main subject groups: Studies in Language & Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals & Societies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts and the special ones are Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS); Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). It is difficult for new students to learn without the help of IB tutor after school.
Essential support for new students
The complicated IB program requires specific level of knowledge and language to optimize understanding. These requirements of IB are: at least grade C or equivalent of the 5 examinations of GCSE, IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 194 (CBT) or 71 (IBT)/SLEP 57 or equivalent. Therefore, with intermediate level of English, students can be confident on their path to success with IB.
