IGCSE is an accepted and highly regarded program by leading universities and employers in the world as evidence of academic achievement. Many universities require a combination of AS & A-level and IGCSE or equivalent levels to meet their entry requirements.

Therefore, IGCSE is a solid foundation for further study such as A-level or IB. The program has more than 70 subjects, students will choose from 6 to 9 subjects, but usually they will choose about 6 subjects. Each subject is divided into 2 levels: Core and Extended. Students can choose about 3 out of 6 subjects as Extended.

IGCSE Physics program consists of 5 topics: general physics, thermal physics, wave properties (including light and sound), electricity and magnetism, atomic physics.

During nearly 30 years of development, IGCSE Physics program has achieved certain achievements such as providing an interesting and valuable educational experience for all students, allowing students to gain knowledge to become a confident citizen with a wide range of skills related to physical research and practice.

The subject also develops physical-related attitudes such as interest in accuracy, objectivity, integrity, investigation, innovation and creativity. Thereby, students will have a solid foundation for further research and build a link between science and reality, thus making practical contributions to the development of society.
