  3. Natural Science
  4. Social Science
  5. Mathematics
  6. Arts

Each student will select 6 subjects in six groups. The first five subjects will choose from groups 1 to 5, except for groups 6. The 6th course is optional. Students are allowed to choose a course in group 6 or any other subject in the first 5 groups.

In addition to qualifying for IB, in addition to passing the exam, students also need to complete the following 3 requirements:

  • Complete Extended Essay (EE) of 4,000 words.
  • Participate in the “Theory of Knowledge” (TOK) course that helps students understand about human and the life.
  • Take a “Creativity, Action and Service” (CAS) course for community support, sports, creative activities…

IB requires reading, writing, and analytical thinking. Special emphasis on writing skills, all IB exams are written. The results of IB exam are the combination of written exam and academic performance.

Each subject is divided into two levels: SL and HL. At the basic and advanced level, there is a relatively general knowledge framework. The main difference is the depth of research in HL.

IB degrees are always recognized and appreciated by renown universities in the world. Students attending IB always have the advantage of receiving scholarships, credit exemptions, and other university requirements.

If you do not complete the program, students may choose to take IB courses on their own. In this way, even if they do not have an IB degree, they are still exempt from college credit for the IB courses they have taken and gaining a high school diploma. Because of this flexible policy, most students can save time and money when they are in their first year of college. So you know what are the IB subjects.
