Learning experience in Science

ITT – The process of industrialization – modernization makes high technological industry of basic science application become a measure to determine whether a nation is wealthy or not. Therefore, learning experience in Science has become a trend in these days.

Not only in international schools, students pursuing integrated curricula in state schools start learning Science in English to keep up with the trend. However, even though many of them are interest in this, they face a lot of difficulties because it is the first time they learn a subject in English. Actually, they need to have learning experience in Science in order to study efficiently and feel exciting with this subject.\

1. Watching science movies with subtitles: This is really a simple and efficient way. There are many interesting programs relating to Science such as animal planet, wonderful nature… Watching movies not only helps students feel relax, but also provide academic words, sentence structure for them to enhance their scientific academic English
2. Reading science books in English: This is a method to enrich specialized knowledge. However, students should not read textbooks or read books in restricted spaces like reading rooms of their houses or libraries. Reading books in a small coffee shop could bring comfortable feeling and help them approach information easier. Additionally, they should note need-to-remember things in a small notebook while reading, so that they can bring as well as review whenever and wherever they can.
3. Learning in group: “Better to learn from your friends than from your teachers” is here. Working in groups would help student review their lessons, discuss opinions to each other, and also improve their abilities of communicate in English. Moreover, it fascinates and makes their brain receive information more promptly as well as create inspiration for them to put more efforts for this subject. However, they need to focus on the lessons and avoid wasting time to discuss unrelated topics.
4. Participating in educational and science researching forums: Sharing, discussing and contributing ideas with friends pursuing similar major are essential-to-do and exciting things when learning Sciences in English, which helps students to gain a lot of things such as passion, knowledge, relationships and learning experience in Science.
