How to register for the SAT exam in Vietnam?

ITT – Studying abroad has become a familiar trend for Vietnamese, especially studying in the US. Since then, the SAT certificate has become popular with parents who want their children to access modern American education. However, few people know how to register for the SAT exam in Vietnam?

SAT certificate

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is one of the standardized exams used for admission into American universities and colleges and is managed by the non-profit College Board. This is the competency test widely used for college admissions in the American education system and focuses primarily on vocabulary, logical thinking, applicability, and development based on knowledge learned at school.

How to register for the SAT exam in Vietnam?

SAT in Vietnam is held 7 times a year, so students should not be in a hurry. There are usually 2 ways to get how to register for the SAT exam in Vietnam:

1. Online registration

This is the fastest, most convenient, and easiest method. First, you need to visit collegeboard.org and create an account so you can begin registering, then select your test date and where you want to take the test. After you pay the registration fee by credit card, you will receive a registration number and admission ticket. Personal information can be edited directly on the website.

2. Mail registration

Only the following subjects should register by mail:

• Pay by check or money order, pay the College Board instead of paying online.
• Candidate younger than 13 years old.
• Candidates want to ask the College Board to open a test center in the city or region where you live because there is no official SAT test site.

Candidates must complete the blue registration form issued by the College Board with the necessary information such as full name, date of birth, test selected date, test center code, contact address… Candidates use a black or blue pen to finish. If you fill in the wrong information, candidates can delete and correct it, but with a small amount. Exam fees are paid by credit card or bank draft.

Once completed, candidates should put them in the envelope and label their chosen exam date on the outside (attached to the application form) and send it to College Board. If students pay fees by bank draft, they must attach with the registration form.

You should consult the location in Vietnam to not be surprised.

• In Hanoi, there are 3 regional test scores, namely IIG Vietnam Northern office, Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, IIE International Education Vietnam.
• In HCMC, you will take the exam at the IIG Vietnam Southern office.

In case you want to change the test date or test center, within 2 to 5 weeks prior to the test date, you must notify and incur a fee.
